Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) saw a rebound in deliveries last month, after a decrease in July.

The electric vehicle (EV) maker delivered 18,015 vehicles in August, its third highest ever, according to data released today.

That was up 15 percent from 15,655 in July and up 46.43 percent from 12,303 in the same month last year.

In the January-August period, Zeekr delivered 121,540 vehicles, up 81.47 percent from a year ago, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. It aims to deliver 230,000 vehicles for the whole year.

At the end of August, Zeekr's cumulative deliveries since its inception stood at 318,173 vehicles.

Zeekr's current models on sale include the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, and Zeekr X.

The Zeekr 007 electric sedan, which went on sale December 27, 2023, is Zeekr's first model aimed at the mainstream EV market. Its other models are aimed at niche markets.

Zeekr debuted the Zeekr 7X on the first day of the Chengdu auto show on August 30, the SUV (sport utility vehicle) will target the family car market and is its second model to target the mainstream market.

The Zeekr 7X is already available for pre-sale at a starting price of RMB 239,000 yuan ($33,710), aimed at the (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model Y.

The model's official launch will be on September 20, with deliveries in China set to start at the end of September, followed by global market deliveries within a year, according to the company.

Zeekr's current models are battery electric vehicles (BEVs), but it will join other local peers in launching plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) to target a larger market.

Zeekr will launch a flagship SUV (sport utility vehicle) in the second half of 2025, which will offer a variant featuring new electric-hybrid powertrain technology, Zeekr CEO Andy An said on August 21.

The flagship SUV, which is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of 2025, will use hybrid technology that combines the advantages of plug-in hybrid and extended-range hybrid technologies, and will be better for users in terms of power, An said.
