The wait time for Nio's (NYSE: NIO) ES7 SUV (sport utility vehicle) has been shortened, with deliveries closer to its expected start in May.
Chinese customers who buy Nio's ES7 now can expect delivery in 7-8 weeks, down from 8-9 weeks previously, according to changes in vehicle configurator information on the Nio App monitored by CnEVPost.
The ES7 is the third most expensive of the models Nio is currently delivering, with a starting price of RMB 438,000 ($60,590).
Customers who choose to purchase the car using the BaaS (battery as a service) battery rental service will see the starting price of the ES7 reduced to RMB 368,000, with monthly battery rental fees of RMB 728 and RMB 1,128, depending on capacity.

Nio's other two more expensive models are the ES8 and EC7, which start at RMB 498,000 and RMB 458,000 respectively, including the battery.
The ET9, unveiled last December, has a pre-sale price of RMB 800,000, with deliveries set to begin in the first quarter of 2025.
Nio's other models on sale include the ET7, EC6, ES6, ET5, and ET5 Touring.
The electric vehicle (EV) maker began accepting customer orders for all 2024 models except the ET7 on February 22, with all prices unchanged. Deliveries of the 2024 ES7 would begin in May, according to Nio's schedule announced at the time.
Deliveries of the 2024 ES8, EC7, ES6, EC6, and ET5 Touring began on March 8.
The 2024 ET7 will be launched in April and begin allowing orders to be locked in, Nio said in February.
Several spy photos of the 2024 ET7 circulated on Chinese social media yesterday, showing the model will come with large screens in the back to cater to consumer preferences.
