Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, is about to unveil its first sedan model, which will also be its first for the mainstream market, as all three models it currently sells target niche markets.

Zeekr's fourth model and first sedan is named Zeekr 007 and will go on pre-sale on November 17, the first day of the Guangzhou auto show, the company announced today.

This year's Guangzhou auto show will be held from November 17 to November 26, with November 17 being the media day and November 18 to November 19 being the professional visitors' day.

Zeekr didn't release any more information, but shared multiple images of the Zeekr 007 as well as a video showing that the model will feature LiDAR in the roof position.

Zeekr currently offers three models in China, the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 009, and Zeekr X. None of them are equipped with LiDAR.

Zeekr was founded in 2021 and the first model, Zeekr 001, was launched on April 15, 2021 and deliveries began in October 2021 in China.

The Zeekr 001 is a shooting brake style SUV and despite targeting a niche market in China, the model was a strong performer with 71,941 units delivered in 2022.

On November 1, 2022, Zeekr's second model, the Zeekr 009 MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle), was launched, with its deliveries beginning on January 15.

The Zeekr 009 is also aimed at a niche market, as monthly sales of MPVs in China are only about one-tenth of those of sedans or regular SUVs.

On April 12, Zeekr launched its third model, the Zeekr X, whose deliveries in China began on June 12.

The Zeekr X is an urban SUV with a different design style and dimensions than mainstream SUVs in China.

Zeekr delivered a record 13,077 vehicles in October, up 29.2 percent year-on-year and 8.5 percent from September.

Zeekr is aiming to double its deliveries this year from last year to about 140,000 vehicles, which means it will need to deliver an average of about 24,000 vehicles per month over the next two months to reach its goal.

Zeekr management said in a group interview with the media after the October 27 launch of the Zeekr 001 FR electric supercar that they will still be looking to hit that goal.
