Nio today added three new battery swap stations in China, bringing the total to 1,200, according to data shared by the company today.
Nio's previously announced goal is to have more than 1,300 battery swap stations, more than 6,000 supercharging piles and over 10,000 destination charging piles in China by the end of 2022.
By the end of 2025, Nio will have more than 4,000 battery swap stations worldwide, with 1,000 of them in overseas markets, according to its previously announced plan.
On November 3 last year, Nio reached 600 battery swap stations in China. The latest figure means that the company has added another 600 new stations in the past year.
To date, Nio has provided 14 million battery swap services, with the service currently averaging more than 30,000 per day, according to an article the company posted on the Nio App today.
As of November 6, a total of 66.23 percent of Nio owners had at least one battery swap station within 3 kilometers of their homes, and according to the company. It aims to have that percentage at 90 percent by 2025.
Of the 1,200 battery swap stations, 324 are located along highways.
Nio is also offering flexible battery upgrades to owners, with a total of 23,000 owners having used the service to date.
In addition to the 1,200 battery swap stations, Nio has 1,101 supercharging stations in China with 5,747 supercharging piles, and 984 destination charging stations with 6,068 destination piles, and Nio's charging map has access to over 590,000 third-party charging piles.
