Model Y sold 13,303 units in China in October, and Model 3 sold 422 units.

The Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model Y was the third best-selling new energy vehicle (NEV) in China in October, following SAIC-GM-Wuling's Hongguang Mini EV and 's Qin Plus DM-i, according to the latest data.

The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) today announced that the Hongguang Mini EV sold 47,834 units in October, the Qin Plus DM-i sold 17,393 units and the Model Y sold 13,303 units.

Data released yesterday by the CPCA showed that Tesla China sold 54,391 wholesale units in October, including 40,666 units exported.

That means Tesla sold 13,725 units in October in China, which also means the Model 3 sold just 422 units in October.

BYD Han EV sold 8,284 units in October, ranking 6th, the data shows.

's Li ONE sold 7,649 two in October, ranking eighth, and Motors' P7 sedan ranked 15th with 6,044 units.
