Zeekr, the electric vehicle (EV) brand of the Geely Group, today delivered the first Zeekr 001 vehicles to owners, marking the official market entry of the highly anticipated model.
Zeekr held a delivery ceremony at its facility in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, where a total of 50 customers became the first owners.
"Delivery is just the starting point, there is no end to evolution," said Zeekr CEO An Conghui, adding that the company will unleash more safety and convenience features of the model through OTA, giving it the ability to re-evolve throughout its life cycle.
Some of the Zeekr 001's assisted driving features will be available with OTA upgrades, which the company plans to start pushing out in late December 2021.
Zeekr will also continue to improve its energy replenishment system, subscription services, and used car services to allow consumers to better experience the ultimate mobility life through continuous innovation, An said.
Zeekr 001 is a renaming of the model previously known as Lynk ZERO. It was launched on April 15, 2021.
It is available in three models, with a price range of RMB 281,000 - 360,000. It is built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform and measures 4,970*1,999*1,560mm with a wheelbase of 3,005mm.
The model has a 0-100km acceleration time of 3.8 seconds and offers three NEDC range versions, 526km, 606km and 712km respectively.
On June 15 of this year, the company said it had sold out of its deliverable production for this year and therefore stopped accepting deposits.
