Nio will launch a lower-priced model next year, but will still maintain its premium positioning, William Li, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Nio, said during the company's second-quarter conference call.
The model will be the lowest priced in Nio's product lineup, he said.
The company will enter the mass market with a new brand to cover even lower price ranges, he said.
