Nio's new battery swap station in the central Chinese city of Zhengzhou went into operation on August 9, bringing the total to 353.

This is Nio's 14th battery swap station in Henan Province, and the second to be put into operation after the province was hit by rare heavy rains and flooding.

The swap station is surrounded by several large residential areas, close to hospitals and shopping malls, and offers a 24-hour power swap service.

In addition to these battery swap stations, Nio has 15 supercharging stations, 6 destination charging stations and access to over 12,000 third-party charging posts in Henan.

As of August 9, Nio has 353 battery swap stations, 235 supercharging stations, 427 destination charging stations and access to more than 390,000 third-party charging piles in China.

With 400,000 vehicles damaged by flooding in Zhengzhou at the end of last month, consumer demand for replacement vehicles is attracting the attention of car companies, including Nio.

Between July 20 and Aug. 31, consumers in Henan province who pay a deposit for an Nio model can enjoy a 3-year interest-free benefit of CNY300,000 (US$46,425) and down payments as low as 15 percent, eoo.com.cn quoted the company as saying last Tuesday.

On Aug. 4, Nio's 345th battery swap station was put into operation in Zhengzhou City.
