China's power battery installed volume reached 11.1 GWh in June, up 136.2 percent year-over-year and 13.8 percent from May, according to data recently released by China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance (CABIA).

The total installed volume of ternary lithium batteries was 5.9 GWh, up 98.3 percent year-over-year and 13.8 percent from May. Lithium iron phosphate battery installed volume was 5.1 GWh, up 206.4 percent year-over-year and up 13.2 percent from May.

China's January-June power battery installation was 52.5 GWh, up 200.3 percent year-over-year, the data showed.

The installed volume of ternary lithium batteries was 30.2 GWh, accounting for 57.5 percent of the total, up 139.0 percent year-over-year. Lithium iron phosphate battery installed volume was 22.2 GWh, accounting for 42.3 percent of the total, up 368.5 percent year-over-year.

In June, had the highest installed capacity of 5.44 GWh, with a market share of 49.1 percent.

's battery installation volume was 1.73 GWh, with a market share of 15.6 percent, ranking second.

From January to June, CATL's battery installation volume was 25.76 GWh, with a market share of 49.1 percent. BYD's battery installation volume was 7.65 GWh, accounting for 14.6 percent of the total installation volume, ranking second.

China's power battery production in June was 15.2 GWh, up 184.3 percent year-over-year and up 10.2 percent from May.

Among them, the output of ternary lithium batteries was 7.4 GWh, accounting for 48.4 percent of the total output, up 133.6 percent year-over-year and up 47.1 percent from May. Lithium iron phosphate battery production was 7.8 GWh, accounting for 51.2 percent of total output, up 256.4 percent year-over-year and down 11.3 percent from May.

China's power battery production from January to June was 74.7 GWh, up 217.5 percent year-over-year.

Among them, the output of ternary lithium batteries was 36.9 GWh, accounting for 49.3 percent of the total output, an increase of 149.2 percent year-over-year. Lithium iron phosphate battery production was 37.7 GWh, accounting for 50.5 percent of total production, up 334.4 percent year-over-year.

China's power battery sales in June 2021 totaled 12.0 GWh, up 131.0 percent year-over-year.

Among them, ternary lithium batteries sold 5.2 GWh, up 102.8 percent year-over-year, accounting for 43.1 percent of the total sales. Lithium iron phosphate battery sales were 6.7 GWh, up 158.6 percent year-over-year, accounting for 56.4 percent of total sales.

China's power battery sales from January to June reached 58.2 GWh, up 173.6 percent year-over-year.

Among them, 27.2 GWh of ternary lithium batteries were sold, up 115.6 percent year-over-year. Lithium iron phosphate batteries sold 30.8 GWh, up 260.0 percent year-over-year.
