As BYD is about to celebrate the first anniversary of Han's launch, the company expects to see the model's 100,000th unit roll off the line on July 15, yiche.com reported Wednesday.

launched the Han model on July 12, 2020, which includes the Han EV, a pure electric version with an NEDC range of 605 kilometers, and the Han DM, a hybrid model with a range of just 81 kilometers on pure electric power.

The Han sold 8,386 units in June, up 2 percent from 8,214 units in May, according to data released by the company on Tuesday.

Among them, BYD Han EV sold 5,815 units and Han DM sold 2,571 units in June, according to BYD.

BYD Han EV ranked second in China's new energy vehicle sales in June, behind 's Li ONE with 7,713 units, and above P7 with 4,730 units, and ES6 with 3,755 units.

Cumulative sales of Han models since launch have reached 92,787 units, the company said.

Han was originally developed to accelerate the replacement of traditional fuel-fired luxury vehicles with new-energy luxury vehicles, and the Han EV is the first model to be equipped with a blade battery.

With a 0-100 km acceleration time of 3.9 seconds, the Han EV 4WD performance version is the fastest accelerating mass-produced new energy sedan in China, the company said.

BYD Han sales reached 8,214 units in May, with 5,763 Han EV units and 2,451 Han DM units.

BYD Han models are priced in the range of RMB 219,800 ($33,944) to RMB 279,500, with the Han EV, the biggest seller, averaging more than RMB 260,000, and Han's top model accounting for 60 percent of overall sales.
