Chinese electric car company Li Auto unveiled the 2021 Li ONE late last month, and now the company has brought the model to all of its retail centers.
Li Auto says the model is now available at its 91 retail centers in China as its sales network in five cities, including Changsha and Harbin, see the arrival of the 2021 Li ONE.
Li Auto unveiled an updated version of its only model, the Li ONE, on May 25, with optimized self-driving capabilities as well as hardware specifications.
Li Auto CEO Li Xiang said at the launch that the standard version is priced at RMB 338,000 ($52,840) in black, white, silver and gray, just RMB 10,000 higher than the 2020 model's RMB 328,000.
The company also offers Baby Blue, Deep Green and Tech Blue special editions for users to choose from, and they are priced at RMB 348,000, which is RMB 10,000 higher than the standard version.
This price was a surprise to many, as previously, Yan Yupeng, a well-known car blogger and founder of xincheping.com, said that the new Li ONE will be priced at RMB 400,000, up RMB 72,000 ($11,000) from the 2020 model.
Deliveries of the new Li ONE began on June 1, and it is expected to significantly improve Li Auto's delivery results.
The company delivered 4,323 Li ONEs in May, up 101.3 percent from a year ago but down about 22 percent from April.
By comparison, Nio delivered 6,711 vehicles in May, up 95.3 percent from a year ago and down 5.5 percent from April.
Xpeng Motors delivered 5,686 units in May, a 4,83% jump from a year ago and a 10.47% increase from April.
"Based on order growth and the continued expansion of our sales and service network, we are confident that deliveries will exceed the upper end of our guidance in the second quarter of 2021 and continue to improve going forward," said Yannan Shen, co-founder and president of Li Auto.
The company expects second-quarter deliveries of 14,500-15,500 units, up 119.6-134.7 percent from the same period last year.
