Chinese automaker BYD has launched an official vehicle color change service, with 45 colors to choose from. The service uses colored film to protect the body without hurting the original paint and leaving no residual adhesive when removed.
Many young people like to change the color of their vehicles by applying the film. Previously, only third-party tuning stores have similar services, but the quality is often not guaranteed. BYD's launch of this official service is relatively rare among car companies.
The official body color change film comes with a 2-year warranty and the official TPU paint protection film comes with a 5-year warranty.
Owners can arrange for the film to be applied within 7 days after ordering the service, which takes 2 days.
This auto body color change film is applied to the body surface with polymeric materials to protect the original paint and decorate the body.
This film can be easily removed at any time and changes the color of the body by physical means, instead of the traditional way of glossing, coating, and painting.
It is important to note that according to Chinese law if a registered motor vehicle's body color is changed, the owner of the vehicle should apply to the vehicle administration office where the registration is made within 10 days after the color change is completed.
