In recent years, China has been actively promoting battery swap infrastructure construction and Nio is accelerating its deployment. As of September 2020, Nio has a total of 155 battery swap stations.

Nio co-founder and president Qin Lihong recently said Nio plans to build more than 300 second-generation battery swap stations in China next year.
