On the first day of the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition 2020, Chinese EV maker Xpeng Motors announced a number of service plans, including the "Xpeng Supercharge Free Recharge Program" and "Battery Lease Program".
The Free Recharge Program is open to Xpeng's first non-operating vehicle owners during the service period, who can enjoy 3,000 kWh of free charging for their vehicles each year.
Xpeng is also in the process of selecting partners for charging service interconnection and cooperation, which currently covers 24 cities, including North China and Hangzhou.
Xpeng plans to implement free supercharging services in no less than 60 cities this year. By the end of the second quarter of 2021, the service will cover no less than 200 cities in total.
As for the battery leasing program, customers who purchase the Xpeng G3 and P7 models, pay the body price and then pay a monthly battery lease fee to own the vehicle and battery.
In the case of the P7, users can get up to RMB 75,000 off the price of the car and RMB 980 per month off the battery rental fee.
Xpeng also showed off a first-generation exploratory version of its ultra-low-flying car, the Traveler T1, developed by Xpeng Heitech.
Xpeng Heitech is co-invested and held by Xpeng chairman He Xiaopeng and Xpeng, and has been in business for seven years now, mainly developing flying cars and other products.
Xpeng said that the future of travel life can not only rely on intelligent electric cars but also more multi-dimensional and three-dimensional transportation methods.
