Polestar is an independent high-performance luxury electric brand owned by Volvo and jointly owned by Geely Automobile. Currently, Polestar has launched two models, namely the high-performance plug-in hybrid GT coupe Polestar 1, the medium-sized pure electric car Polestar 2.

Recently, some media have exposed the renderings of a group of new Polestar models, Polestar 3. The new car is positioned in the large and medium-sized pure electric SUV, and it is also the flagship model of the Polestar brand with a range of over 500 kilometers.

From the picture, the new car shows the feeling of a crossover coupe SUV, and the slip-back body creates a good sense of movement.

The front face adopts the polar star family face, and the headlights and car logo reflect the design elements of "North Star". The taillight also adopts a through-type design, which shows a notched rectangle when lit, which is highly recognizable and technological.

According to Max Missoni, the design director of Polestar, Polestar 1 is based on the Volvo Concept Coupe concept car, and from Polestar 2, there are new design elements. As for Polestar 3, it will be based on the Precept Concept concept car. Therefore, many elements of the concept car will be applied to the Polar Star 3.

In terms of power, Polestar 3 is positioned as a high-performance pure electric SUV, so the new car will likely adopt a dual-motor drive layout. Referring to the power of polestar 2, the maximum power of the dual-motor powertrain reached 408Ps, and the acceleration of 100 kilometers only takes 4.7 seconds, while the dynamic performance of Polestar 3 will also be more powerful. In terms of battery life, it is reported that the mileage of the new car will exceed 500 kilometers.

The new car is expected to be officially unveiled in 2022. After listing, competitors will lock in high-end pure electric vehicles such as Model X and Audi E-Tron.
