In the first 10 days of September, China's penetration of NEVs at retail was 39.18 percent, and 33.8percent year-to-date.

Most EV makers saw a dip in insurance registrations last week, as it was the beginning of the month, when deliveries are usually slow, while the week before included the last days of August, when deliveries are usually strong.

Xpeng saw insurance registrations of 3,100 units last week, down 6.06 percent from 3,300 units in the previous week. BYD saw registrations of 50,800 units last week, down 1.74 percent from the previous week.

In the first four weeks of August, China's NEV retail penetration was 39.67 percent, while it was 33.70 percent year-to-date.

Between August 1 and August 27, Nio vehicles saw 16,000 insurance registrations in China, Xpeng at 11,700, Li Auto at 29,100 and Tesla at 56,400 units.

In the first three weeks of August, China's NEV penetration at retail stood at 37.06 percent, while it was 33.3 percent year-to-date.

Between August 1 and August 20, Tesla was at 39,400, Li Auto at 21,500, Nio at 11,000 and Xpeng at 8,400 units.

China's passenger NEV retail sales increased 38 percent year-on-year during August 1 to August 13, up 1 percent from the same period last month.

Between August 1 and August 13, Tesla vehicles had 25,400 insurance registrations in China, Nio 7,000, Li Auto 13,500, and Xpeng 5,200.

China's passenger NEV retail sales stood at 88,000 units in August 1-6, up 38 percent year-on-year and up 8 percent from the same period last month.
