Singaporean customers can now reserve the Firefly EV through Wearnes, with the first local Firefly showroom opening in late January.

The right-hand drive Firefly EV will go on sale in Singapore around the 2026 Chinese New Year in February.

Firefly will enter the UK and Thailand in 2026, expanding its exploration in right-hand drive markets free from punitive tariffs on Chinese EVs.

Nio announced in August that it had partnered with an automotive retailer in Singapore to launch Firefly there in 2026.

The first models to be launched in these new markets will include vehicles from the Nio, Onvo, and Firefly brands.

Nio is building a R&D Center in Singapore, where it looks into smart power solutions & autonomous driving technologies, said Lawrence Wong.

"Nio has further strengthened its footing in the global capital markets with Singapore's strategic significance," said William Li, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Nio.

Nio's listing in three venues creates new possibilities for Chinese automakers to further globalize and turn China into an automotive powerhouse, said the Economic Daily.

Nio will live-stream its Singapore listing on its website, app and YouTube starting at 8:39 am Beijing Time on Friday.
