Leapmotor began pre-sales of the updated C16 earlier this month, with a starting price of RMB 169,800 ($23,640).

Stellantis-backed Leapmotor saw its 500,000th production vehicle roll off the assembly line, as its growth accelerated significantly this year.

Leapmotor launched the C16, a six-seat SUV, on June 28, offering both BEV and EREV variants.

The C16 SUV is 4,915 mm long and has a CLTC range of 200 km for the EREV variants and 520 km for the BEV variants.

The Leapmotor C16 is a 6-seat SUV aimed at the family market, and will be offered in EREV and BEV variants.
