Gotion Plant

The first phase of the plant is planned with a capacity of 20 GWh, with trial production scheduled for 2026 and full-scale production starting in 2027.

The combined investment in the two battery plants is 2.514 billion euros ($2.6 billion), both with an annual capacity of 20 GWh.

Located in the Silicon Valley area, the plant is Gotion's first US battery pack production line, targeting the Americas energy storage system market.

Gotion's joint venture plant in Thailand has a planned capacity of 2 GWh of battery packs per year for the first phase, which will be expanded to 8 GWh in the future.

Gotion's German battery plant is expected to be ready to supply European customers from October and could reach a real-world capacity of 5 GWh by mid-2024.

The plant will focus on lithium-ion battery cell and pack production and energy storage system integration, and is expected to produce 10 GWh battery packs and 40 GWh cells when completed.

Gotion and InoBat will explore building a 40 GWh cell and Pack facility in Europe and explore producing energy storage batteries based on the latter's existing facility in Slovakia.

Gotion's joint venture in Thailand will create a battery export base in addition to local production of battery packs.

The first phase of the plant has a planned annual capacity of 5 GWh and is expected to be operational by the end of 2023.

Gotion will build a 20 GWh per year power cell project in Hefei, Anhui and a 10 GWh per year project in Liuzhou, Guangxi.
