BYD will unveil the new flagship model of its Tang SUV series and the new flagship model of its Han sedan series in the first half of the year.

BYD previewed two D-segment models for its Dynasty lineup — the Han sedan's 9 series and Tang SUV 9 series — set to debut in the first half of this year.

The recalled Tang vehicles have a potential risk of pure electric drive mode failure, while the Yuan Pro faces a risk of water ingress into the power battery.

Most variants of the Tang DM-i now offer a 175-km battery range, up from the previous 115 km.

The Han L and Tang L are new flagship models in BYD's Dynasty lineup, targeting the premium market with prices in the RMB 300,000 ($40,930) class.

BYD has released teaser images of the Tang L and Han L, its first mention of the two new models.

The 2025 Tang DM-i is powered by BYD's DM 5.0 hybrid system, with the entry-level price unchanged and all other variants priced lower than their predecessors.

BYD will bring the Tang SUV to Japan to diversify its product matrix there. The Han and Qin sedans will also be brought to Japan, according to local media.

The updated Tang EV price has been reduced by RMB 30,000, and the Tang DM-p price by RMB 40,000.
