BYD Song L

BYD has launched the 2026 Song Pro DM-i SUV, Song L DM-i hybrid SUV, and Qin L DM-i hybrid sedan, introducing upgrades including longer battery range.

The Song L GT is a shooting brake-style pure electric vehicle with the same dimensions as the Song L EV, measuring 4,840 mm in length.

BYD launched the 2025 Song L EV with a starting price of RMB 189,800 ($26,700), the same as its predecessor but with the DiPilot 100 driver assistance system.

BYD officially launched the Song L on December 15, 2023, with a starting price of RMB 189,800, or roughly $26,400.

The Song L starts at RMB 189,800 and has received more than 28,000 pre-orders since pre-sales began on October 31.

BYD began pre-sales of the Song L on October 31, with a price range of RMB 220,000 to RMB 280,000 for the pre-sale.

The Song L is the second shooting brake-style SUV under the BYD umbrella, with the NEV maker's premium Denza brand's Denza N7 being the group's first such model.

Pre-sales of the Seal DM-i start at RMB 176,800, and the new Tang starts at RMB 250,000.

The Song L will be built at BYD's three production sites in Shenzhen, Changsha, and Hefei, and will be offered in single-motor and dual-motor versions.

BYD today shared four exterior images of the Song L, saying the model will be a B-class flagship shooting brake SUV.
