BYD's (OTCMKTS: BYDDF) shooting brake model Song L has accumulated sales of 27,403 vehicles after three months on the market, the company announced today on Weibo.

BYD officially launched the Song L on December 15, 2023, and the model is available in five variants with starting prices of RMB 189,800 ($26,400), RMB 199,800, RMB 209,800, RMB 229,800 and RMB 249,800 respectively.

BYD originally unveiled the Song L concept at the April 2023 Shanghai auto show, and the battery electric vehicle (BEV) model is part of its Dynasty lineup. The other product array of the BYD brand is the Ocean series.

The Song L is the second shooting brake-style SUV under the BYD Group's umbrella, and the Denza N7, which the new energy vehicle (NEV) maker's premium Denza brand launched on July 3, 2023, is the group's first such model.

The BYD Ocean array also has a shooting brake-style SUV, the Sea Lion 07, which was unveiled on the first day of the Guangzhou auto show on November 17, 2023, and is expected to begin deliveries in the first half of 2024.
