BYD Qin L DM-i

BYD has launched the 2026 Song Pro DM-i SUV, Song L DM-i hybrid SUV, and Qin L DM-i hybrid sedan, introducing upgrades including longer battery range.

“While new launches should boost wholesale volume, we would monitor whether it could spark another round of price competition,” Morgan Stanley said.

The Seal 06 DM-i and Qin L DM-i are the first two models to feature BYD's fifth-generation DM technology, both available in five variants and with a price range of RMB 99,800 ($13,770) to RMB 139,800.

The Qin L DM-i is expected to be priced around RMB 120,000 ($16,610) to RMB 150,000, according to local media.

The Qin L DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i are both mid-size sedans that will both go on sale in the second quarter and are expected to feature BYD's fifth-generation DM hybrid technology.

The Qin L will be unveiled at the Beijing auto show and will likely be equipped with BYD's 5th generation DM-i hybrid technology, said local media.

Previous rumors have suggested that the Qin L would be one of the first models to feature BYD's next-generation hybrid system, DM 5.0.
