The updated Aito M7, which went on sale in September 2023, gained more than 130,000 firm orders in its first four months, according to figures previously announced by Huawei.

The re-launched Luxeed S7 will bring new features and will be able to deliver soon after launch, with monthly sales expected to be at around 5,000 units, according to local media.

Huawei's automotive business is expected to turn a profit this year, bolstered by mid-to-high-end models built in partnership with automakers, the unit's chairman said.

Local media reported earlier this month that the model will be unveiled at the Beijing auto show at the end of next month and will be officially launched in June.

The car is an executive sedan with a starting price of RMB 300,000 to RMB 500,000, according to local media.

Huawei and M-Hero are still discussing specific partnership models, with those based on parts supply or the HI model being prioritized.

JAC and Huawei will collaborate to build a luxury smart EV that is expected to hit the market in 2025, the automaker said.

Since its launch in September 2023, the new M7 has now accumulated more than 140,000 firm orders, Aito said.

The first model to be built by Huawei and JAC will be a sedan priced at the RMB 1 million level, not an MPV as previously rumored, according to local media.

The computing unit, called the MDC 810, powers advanced driver assistance systems, according to Reuters.
