Geely Auto (HKEX: 0175) has launched an updated version of its Xingyuan compact electric vehicle (EV) to consolidate its position in the entry-level market.
The updated Xingyuan officially went on sale on Thursday at a limited-time price of 61,800 yuan ($9,130). This represents a 6% reduction from the discounted starting price of 65,800 yuan for the 2026 Xingyuan, which was launched in October 2025.
The updated Geely Xingyuan is available in six variants, with official guide prices ranging from 64,800 yuan to 94,800 yuan.
To stimulate initial sales momentum, Geely has rolled out a series of purchase incentives.
Buyers who place an order and lock it in before June 30, 2026, can enjoy a 3,000 yuan trade-in subsidy. After the subsidy, the starting price range for the Xingyuan falls to between 61,800 yuan and 91,800 yuan.
The newly upgraded compact EV measures 4,135 mm in length, 1,805 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, remaining consistent with its predecessor.
The new model features upgrades in driving control, core powertrain, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), smart cabin experience, and safety.
In terms of battery and range, the updated Xingyuan comes standard across all variants with battery cells from CATL (HKEX: 3750), offering three range options with CLTC ranges of 310 kilometers, 410 kilometers, and 480 kilometers.
The model's fast-charging capability has also been significantly enhanced, supporting a maximum charging rate of 1.66C, which allows the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 19 minutes.
The new car is equipped with the advanced Flyme Auto 2.0 smart cabin system. The system is powered by a 7-nanometer automotive-grade Dragon Eagle-1 chip, built by Geely-backed SiEngine Technology.
The interior features a 14.6-inch high-definition central touchscreen and supports various smartphone connectivity functions, including Apple CarPlay. This makes the in-car digital experience smoother and more aligned with modern consumer habits.
The vehicle introduces the Geely Afari Smart Driving (G-ASD) H3 advanced driver assistance system, supporting cutting-edge functions such as highway Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), all-scenario automated parking, and Sentry Mode.
The Geely Xingyuan is one of China's best-selling compact EVs, with retail sales totaling 465,775 units in China for the full year of 2025, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
In the first four months of this year, the model's retail sales stood at 122,049 units, a year-on-year decline of 2.62%.
