Geely Galaxy kicked off the pre-sales of the Starshine 7 on Thursday, marking the Geely Auto sub-brand's deepening push into the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) segment.
The mid-size hybrid sedan starts at a pre-sales price of 112,800 yuan ($16,530), with the top-trim four-wheel-drive version priced at 142,800 yuan.
The Starshine 7 measures 4,958 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,505 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,852 mm.
It is equipped with Geely's new-generation Thor hybrid system, which includes a 1.5L engine with a maximum power output of 82 kW.
The model's powertrain delivers a combined output of 312 kW and a peak torque of 526 Nm.
This system enables the Starshine 7 to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.4 seconds.
Its engine boasts a thermal efficiency of 47.26%, achieving a 2L-class fuel consumption at low battery states to reduce travel costs, according to Geely Galaxy.
The Starshine 7 features the G-ASD (Geely Afari Smart Driving) H3 system, supporting navigation-assisted driving on highways and elevated roads.
As a slightly higher-priced PHEV model following the Starshine 6, the Starshine 7's launch comes amid strong demand for Geely's plug-in hybrid vehicles.
In the just-passed month of March, Geely saw its PHEV sales surge 70% year-on-year to 56,762 units.
The automaker's battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales stood at 70,557 units in March, down 18% year-on-year.
The Starshine 6, launched in October 2025, starts at just 68,800 yuan after limited-time discounts, making it one of the most affordable family sedans in China.
