The Stellantis-backed Chinese EV maker is targeting one million deliveries in 2026, with the D19 serving as a key part of its product offensive.

The model measures 5,252 millimeters in length, 1,995 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm.

Built on the LEAP 4.0 technology architecture, the D19 seeks to cover a broader range of family and business needs by offering both six- and seven-seat layouts.

To stand out in China's fiercely competitive premium EV market, the new vehicle comes in seven variants to offer potential buyers flexible choices.

The model provides both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrains to alleviate consumer range anxiety.

All of its EREV variants feature a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system, and pioneer an EREV cell-to-chassis (CTC) battery integration technology designed to optimize underbody space utilization.

The D19 EREV comes with battery capacities of 63.7 kWh and 80.3 kWh, making it one of the EREVs with the largest battery capacities.

The 63.7-kWh version offers a CLTC battery range of 400 kilometers and a combined range of 1,300 km on a full charge and full tank. The 80.3-kWh version delivers a battery range of 500 km and a combined range of 1,180 km.

The EREV models utilize an 800-volt high-voltage platform, allowing a 30% to 80% charge in 15 minutes.

The BEV version of the D19 adopts a 1,000-volt high-voltage platform, which the company claims can add over 350 km of battery range in 15 minutes of charging.

Its three-motor performance edition achieves a combined maximum power of 540 kilowatts, cutting the large vehicle's 0-100 km/h acceleration time to 3.94 seconds. This version is equipped with a 115-kWh battery, offering a CLTC range of 680 km.

The dual-motor version of the D19 BEV has a combined maximum power of 410 kW, offering two battery options of 99.6 kWh and 115 kWh, with CLTC ranges of 620 km and 720 km, respectively.

Leapmotor is accelerating the introduction of high-computing-power solutions into its mass-produced models to significantly enhance its market competitiveness in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The D19 is powered by dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chips with a total computing power of 1,280 TOPS, and is equipped with 28 smart sensing hardware components, including one LiDAR.

The interior features an in-car oxygen generation system with a maximum output of 8 liters per minute, along with air purification capabilities. It also provides rear passengers with a 21.4-inch 3K entertainment screen and a hot-and-cold refrigerator.

In terms of chassis technology, all versions of the D19 except the entry-level model are equipped with a dual-chamber air suspension and CDC continuous damping control shock absorbers.

To further improve the handling flexibility of the large vehicle, its top-trim model is endowed with the mechanical capability to perform complex maneuvers such as compass turns.

Leapmotor delivered nearly 600,000 new vehicles in 2025 and achieved its first full-year financial profitability on the back of robust revenue growth.

Leapmotor's management has set a full-year delivery target of one million vehicles for 2026, aiming to achieve annual sales of four million vehicles in the next decade.

With the biennial Beijing auto show set to kick off on April 24, Leapmotor's 2026 product matrix is being further fleshed out.

The company also plans to officially launch the Lafa 5 Ultra, the high-performance version of its electric hatchback, at the upcoming auto show to attract younger buyers.
