LiDAR maker Seyond has hit a major business milestone, with its cumulative LiDAR deliveries surpassing the one million unit mark.

The Nio LiDAR supplier announced the milestone on Friday, coinciding with the official debut and start of pre-sales for Nio's latest flagship SUV, the ES9.

Each Nio ES9 is equipped with three high-performance Seyond LiDARs, including one ultra-long-range Falcon main-view LiDAR and two mid-range wide-angle Robin W LiDARs.

Integrated into the ES9's roof and both front fenders, the three LiDARs build a full-scenario perception matrix for the vehicle, ranging from long-distance to near-field and from main-view to blind-spot coverage, Seyond said.

Out of Seyond's one million deliveries, the Falcon platform, which targets high-performance application scenarios, has reached a cumulative delivery of 750,000 units, while the Robin platform, covering long-range and mid-range wide-angle applications, has surpassed 250,000 units in total deliveries.

Seyond's current annual delivery capacity has reached 1.2 million units, and it plans to add another 1 million units of capacity within the year, according to the company.

In the first quarter of this year, Seyond maintained its growth momentum, with LiDAR shipments reaching about 181,400 units, a year-on-year surge of about 340%.

Based on its current order backlog and delivery system, Seyond expects its total shipments for the full year of 2026 to achieve a robust growth of about 200%, the company said.

Seyond's current main-selling product is the Falcon LiDAR, which has been equipped on all models under the Nio main brand.

Although the vast majority of the company's recent revenue still relies on Nio, it has made commercial breakthroughs in expanding its diversified new customer base.

To date, Seyond has secured mass production project orders from 18 automakers and autonomous driving companies, including SAIC Volkswagen, GAC Group, and Leapmotor, according to the company.

Seyond will deploy its detection technology in Sweden's transportation infrastructure.
