- Fang Cheng Bao is expected to launch its first sedan later this year, following the release of four SUV models.
- Spy photos of another sedan, the Mei 9, surfaced in late December.

New spy photos have surfaced of a new Fang Cheng Bao model, with the BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) sub-brand is set to introduce a sedan later this year.
Weibo user Sugar Design shared two images on Wednesday, saying they were spy shots of the Fang Cheng Bao Mei 7 (or Magnesium 7), which is slightly smaller than the brand's other unreleased sedan, the Mei 9.
The camouflaged prototype bears Fang Cheng Bao's Chinese characters on its wrap and resembles BYD's Seal sedan from the side profile.

BYD officially unveiled the Fang Cheng Bao brand on August 16, 2023. Its debut model, the Bao 5, was launched on November 9, 2023, with deliveries commencing later that month.
The BYD sub-brand launched its second model, the Bao 8 off-road SUV, on November 12, 2024.
On April 17 last year, Fang Cheng Bao launched the Tai 3 SUV as the first model in its Tai series, followed by another SUV, the Tai 7, on September 9.
In late April 2025, the brand's general manager Xiong Tianbo said in an interview with local automotive media Dongchedi that a sedan series would debut by the end of 2025.
However, this plan was ultimately delayed, and Fang Cheng Bao has yet to formally announce its first sedan.
On December 27, Sugar Design shared the first spy photos of the Mei 9 sedan on Weibo, marking the model's debut in public images.

2026 will mark Fang Cheng Bao's third year since its establishment, during which it will launch a new sedan series, Xiong said during the Chengdu auto show in August 2025.
Throughout 2025, Fang Cheng Bao sold 234,637 vehicles, marking a 316.11% year-on-year increase, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
In January, Fang Cheng Bao sold 21,581 vehicles, a 247% year-on-year increase.
By the end of January, the brand's cumulative sales reached 318,318 units.
