- The Avatr 06T is a new model under the Huawei Qiankun-Avatr strategic partnership 2.0, Avatr said.
- The Avatr 06T is expected to be a derivative model of the Avatr 06 sedan.

Electric vehicle (EV) maker Avatr Technology, jointly backed by Changan Automobile (SHE: 000625), CATL (HKG: 3750), and Huawei, previewed a new model to enter an entirely new category.
The model, named Avatr 06T, is a new vehicle under the Huawei Qiankun-Avatr strategic partnership 2.0, the EV maker said Tuesday.
Huawei Qiankun is the smart car solution brand launched by Huawei in April 2024, primarily covering smart driving and smart cockpits.
The Avatr 06T will be among the first models to feature Huawei's next-generation LiDAR, Avatr wrote on Weibo.
Avatr did not disclose further details, but shared images and a preview video indicate the Avatr 06T is a station wagon — its first such model.
The naming suggests the Avatr 06T will be a sister model to the Avatr 06 sedan.
Launching wagon derivatives based on sedans is a common practice among Chinese automakers. For instance, Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866) has the ET5 Touring wagon based on its ET5 sedan, known as the ET5T in China.
The Avatr 06 is the brand's fourth production model, launched in April 2025 with battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) options.
The lineup currently includes four EREV variants and four BEV variants, starting at RMB 209,900 ($30,250) and RMB 219,900 respectively.
Two days ago, spy photos of an Avatr wagon began circulating on social media, which is likely the Avatr 06T.
Avatr submitted its Hong Kong IPO (initial public offering) application in late November last year, with the listing expected to be completed in the second quarter.
