Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI, HKG: 2015) has reached the milestone of delivering its 30,000th Li Mega electric MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), marking a significant achievement for its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model.

The Chinese automaker announced the milestone on Weibo Monday, indicating 661 Li Mega units were delivered so far this month, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Li Auto launched the Li Mega on March 1, 2024, as its first BEV model.

The electric MPV reached its 10,000th delivery in December 2024 and its 20,000th delivery in August 2025.

The Li Mega is a seven-seat MPV measuring 5,350 mm in length, 1,965 mm in width, and 1,850 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,300 mm.

Its exterior bears a resemblance to the front end of China's high-speed trains, a design element that stands as one of its most distinctive features.

Li Auto introduced the latest update for the Li Mega in April 2025. Currently priced starting at RMB 529,800 ($76,180) in China, it ranks among the most expensive models from domestic brands.

The Li Mega saw robust deliveries in the third quarter of 2025, with September reaching a record 3,277 units.

However, on October 23, 2025, an incident where a Li Mega caught fire while in motion raised safety concerns among potential buyers.

Li Auto subsequently announced a recall of 11,411 Li Mega units on October 31 due to the risk of battery fires.

Following the incident and recall, Li Mega deliveries declined significantly, falling below 1,000 units per month for the past two months.

After the Li Mega, Li Auto launched two additional BEV models: the Li i8 and Li i6, both SUVs (sport utility vehicles).

The company's other models currently on sale are the L-series extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), including the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9.

In 2025, Li Auto's deliveries fell 18.81% to 406,343 units, declining in most months throughout the year.

Li Auto has been the most heavily shorted Chinese automaker since last September.
