BYD Dec sales breakdown: Qin 60,667 units, Song 55,169

• For the full year 2025, the Song series sold 788,003 units, making it BYD's best-selling model.
• BYD's Fang Cheng Bao sub-brand achieved record December sales of 50,868 units, a 345.51% increase year-on-year.

The Qin series remained BYD's (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) top-selling model for the final month of 2025, while the Song series reclaimed the second-highest sales position.

The Qin series sold 60,667 units in December, remaining BYD's highest-selling model lineup, according to data released yesterday.

However, this represents a 27.44% year-on-year decline and a 14.34% decrease from November.

For the full year 2025, the Qin series sold 661,090 units, down 9.72% year-on-year.

The Song series sold 55,169 units in December, down 55.82% year-on-year and down 1.50% month-on-month.

Current Song series models include the Song L EV, Song L DM-i, and Song Pro DM-i in the Dynasty lineup, as well as the Ocean lineup's Song Plus EV and Song Plus DM-i.

BYD's Dynasty lineup Song models sold 33,946 units in December, down 47.55% year-on-year, remaining largely unchanged from November's 33,926 units.

Its Ocean lineup Song models sold 21,223 units in December, down 64.71% year-on-year and down 3.90% month-on-month.

For the full year 2025, the Song series sold 788,003 units, making it BYD's best-selling model.

The BYD Seagull sold 44,627 units in December, ranking as the third-highest selling BYD model in the month despite a 21.83% year-on-year decline and a 10.93% decrease from November.

The Seagull recorded 529,537 units sold in 2025, representing a 10.48% year-on-year increase.

The BYD Seal sold 44,602 units in December, down 2.91% year-on-year and down 26.84% month-on-month.

The Sealion series recorded 518,412 units sold in 2025, marking a 33.15% year-on-year increase.

The BYD Sealion series sold 44,397 units in December, surging 165.79% year-on-year but declining 19.21% month-on-month.

The Sealion series recorded 2025 sales of 426,581 units. The series' first model was launched in May 2024.

BYD Yuan series sales reached 37,673 units in December, down 34.61% year-on-year and down 21.24% month-on-month.

The Yuan series recorded 430,735 units sold in 2025, an 8.27% decrease year-on-year.

BYD Dolphin sold 24,417 units in December, a 12.21% increase year-on-year but a 21.16% decrease compared to November.

The Dolphin recorded 239,312 units sold in 2025, a 20.67% increase year-on-year.

BYD's Tang series sold 10,129 units in December, down 37.69% year-on-year and down 23.57% month-on-month.

The Tang series achieved 154,908 units sold in 2025, a 1.01% increase year-on-year.

The BYD Han series sold 10,011 units in December, down 70.62% year-on-year and down 31.49% month-on-month.

The Han series recorded 180,664 units sold in 2025, a 30.10% year-on-year decline.

BYD Chaser 05 sold 9,080 units in December, down 56.60% year-on-year and down 35.33% month-on-month.

The Chaser 05 recorded 100,705 units sold in 2025, a 61.80% year-on-year decline.

BYD Xia sold 3,010 units in December, down 22.60% from November. Cumulative sales since its January launch reached 70,723 units.

BYD e2 sold 491 units in December, up 57.88% from November. Total 2025 sales for e2 were 4,488 units.

BYD brand passenger vehicles, including the Dynasty and Ocean lineups, collectively sold 344,274 units in December, down 28.25% year-on-year and down 17.59% month-on-month.

The Dynasty lineup sold 155,436 units in December, down 39.35% year-on-year and down 15.68% month-on-month.

The Dynasty lineup recorded annual sales of 1,885,203 units in 2025, down 10.14% year-on-year.

The Ocean lineup sold 188,838 units in December, down 15.51% year-on-year and down 19.10% month-on-month.

The Ocean lineup recorded 2,220,008 units sold in 2025, a 14.05% increase year-on-year.

BYD's premium Denza brand sold 18,139 units in December, marking a 20.45% year-on-year increase and a 36.85% rise compared to November.

Denza's December sales comprised 8,931 units of the D9 MPV, 6,510 units of the N8L SUV, 2,035 units of the N9 SUV, 549 units of the Z9 series, and 114 units of the N7 SUV.

Denza recorded annual sales of 157,134 units in 2025, marking a 24.67% year-on-year increase.

BYD's personalized sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao achieved record December sales of 50,868 units, up 345.51% year-on-year and up 35.99% month-on-month.

This comprised 5,530 Tai 3 units, 34,088 Tai 7 units, 8,777 Bao 5 units, and 2,473 Bao 8 units.

Fang Cheng Bao sold 234,637 units throughout 2025, marking a 316.11% year-on-year increase.

BYD's ultra-luxury sub-brand Yangwang sold 923 vehicles in December, representing a 196.78% year-on-year increase and a 31.29% rise from November.

The Yangwang U8 series -- including the U8 and U8L -- sold 551 units in December, while the U9 electric supercar sold 10 units and the U7 sedan sold 362 units.

Yangwang sold 4,785 units throughout 2025, a 35.81% decrease year-on-year.
