Nio Inc's (NYSE: NIO) premium boutique compact car brand Firefly has commenced deliveries in Austria as it continues to expand its European operations.
Firefly announced this progress on Weibo today without providing further details.
On August 15, Firefly commenced its first European deliveries in Norway and the Netherlands.
Firefly said at the time it planned to expand into additional European countries including Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Hungary, Portugal, and Greece.
Earlier this month, Firefly announced deliveries had also begun in Belgium, Denmark, and Greece.
Nio officially launched the Firefly brand at Nio Day 2024 on December 21, 2024, positioning it to compete with Mini and Smart. The brand's namesake first model was launched in China on April 19.
Firefly commenced deliveries in China on April 29 and reached its 10,000th delivery milestone on July 26.
