Chery's premium automotive brand Exeed debuted four new models -- the ES8, ES7 GT, ET8, and ET9 -- expanding its ES and ET product lineups following the ET5's launch.
The brand unveiled these vehicles at yesterday's Exeed Brand Night event, declaring its entry into the 3.0 era with the goal of becoming a global innovator in performance luxury brands for the smart mobility era.
These four models look impressive, despite sharing naming conventions with Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866) vehicles.
The Exeed ES8 and ES7 GT adopt a shooting brake design, while the ET8 and ET9 are SUVs (sport utility vehicles).
In Nio's model nomenclature, ES models are SUVs and ET models are sedans.
Exeed said its ES series prioritizes performance, with the ES7 GT featuring sport-tuned suspension and sub-4-second 0-100 km/h acceleration. Both ET8 and ET9 SUVs adopt coach door designs.
Exeed plans to launch over three new models within the next 10-20 months, the brand announced.
On November 28, Exeed launched the ET5 midsize SUV, initiating its ET series lineup. The brand previously offered the Sterra ET and Sterra ES models.
The four newly announced models form part of Exeed's sales revitalization efforts following lackluster performance over the past year.
Exeed sold 97,706 vehicles from January to November, down 23.93 percent from 128,438 units during the same period last year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
