The company had previously guided for third-quarter revenue between RMB 24.8 billion ($3.5 billion) and RMB 26.2 billion, representing a year-on-year decline of 42.1 percent to 38.8 percent.

Li Auto delivered 31,767 vehicles in October, a 38.25 percent year-on-year drop marking its fifth consecutive month of significant decline.

Monthly deliveries further declined by 6.43 percent from September's 33,951 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

In October, all four of Li Auto's extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models saw monthly deliveries plummet over 60 percent year-on-year, despite new models Li i6 and Li i8 each nearing 6,000 units delivered that month.

From January to October, Li Auto delivered 328,916 vehicles, down 16.36 percent year-on-year.

The company's current lineup includes the L-series EREVs -- Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, Li L9 -- the Li Mega electric MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), and the Li i6 and Li i8 electric SUVs.

Li Auto announced a recall of 11,411 units of 2024 Li Mega MPVs late last month due to a risk of battery fires, following concerns raised by a vehicle fire incident earlier in October.

In a research note earlier this month, China Renaissance Securities analysts estimated that the parts replacement cost per vehicle in the recall would be about RMB 100,000 ($14,090), potentially dragging down Li Auto's profits by RMB 1.14 billion.

The negative impact of the recall could affect Li Auto's sales in the fourth quarter of this year and the first quarter of next year, according to the team.

From January to September, Li Auto's deliveries fell 13.07 percent year-on-year, while Xpeng surged 217.77 percent.
