- Xpeng has seen multiple surprising capabilities emerge in the field of physical AI, the company's CEO said.
- Physical AI defines the next decade -- it shapes how people travel and live, Xpeng CEO said.

Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) will host its 2025 AI Day on November 5 in Guangzhou, its headquarters city, marking the latest annual tech event for the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker.
The company shared the plan on Weibo today, hinting that this year's event -- themed "Emergence" -- will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), particularly breakthroughs in physical AI.
Xpeng has demonstrated surprising capabilities in physical AI -- not just one, but multiple --wrote He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of the EV maker, on Weibo.
"Physical AI defines the next decade -- how people travel, live, and coexist with super-intelligent agents," he said.
"Machines will evolve beyond mere command-executing tools into partners capable of proactively navigating complex environments and co-creating with humans," Mr. He added.
Xpeng's previous AI Day took place on November 6, 2024, where it unveiled the Kunpeng Super Electric System, Turing AI chip, and humanoid robot Iron.
The company held its inaugural annual tech showcase on October 24, 2019, naming it the 1024 Tech Day event.
In subsequent years, Xpeng established October 24 as the fixed date for this event.
The company chose this date because 1024 represents 2 to the 10th power, holding special significance in computing. October 24th is also seen widely as Programmer's Day in China.
Last year, Xpeng deviated from its fixed October 24 schedule for the first time to allow greater flexibility, and elevated the event to AI Day.
Xpeng stands as one of China's strongest players in smart driving and is expanding its AI capabilities into broader areas, including humanoid robots and robotaxis.
