Changan Mazda, the joint venture between Changan Automobile and Mazda in China, today officially launched the new mid-size SUV (sport utility vehicle) EZ-60 with competitive pricing.

The vehicle offers four extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants and two battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants, representing a strategic model developed by Mazda for global markets.

The four EREV variants start at RMB 119,900 ($16,810), RMB 134,900, RMB 144,900, and RMB 154,900 respectively. The two BEV variants start at RMB 150,900 and RMB 160,900.

The five-seat SUV measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,902 mm.

The EZ-60 EREV features a 1.5L engine serving as a range extender, delivering 72 kW of power. Its drive motor produces a peak output of 190 kW (255 horsepower).

These variants feature a 31.73-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 200 kilometers.

The BEV variants utilize the same electric motor, and come with a 77.94-kWh LFP battery pack, achieving a CLTC range of 600 kilometers.

The EZ-60 is Changan Mazda's first new energy SUV and its second globally targeted model following the EZ-6 sedan.

Changan Mazda plans to export the EZ-60 to overseas markets in 2026.
