Zeekr Group deliveries up 10.61% to 44,843 in Aug with Zeekr brand declining

Zeekr Group deliveries up 10.61% to 44,843 in Aug with Zeekr brand declining

Zeekr Group (NYSE: ZK) continued its delivery growth last month despite a decline for the Zeekr brand.

The group delivered 44,843 vehicles in August, marking a 10.61 percent year-on-year increase and a 1.47 percent rise from July, according to data released today.

The Zeekr brand delivered 17,626 vehicles in August, down 2.16 percent year-on-year but up 3.82 percent from July.

Lynk & Co delivered 27,217 vehicles in August, up 20.81 percent year-on-year and flat compared to July's 27,216 units.

From January to August, Zeekr Group delivered 333,913 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 14.61 percent.

The Zeekr brand delivered 125,343 vehicles from January to August, a year-on-year increase of 3.13 percent.

Lynk & Co delivered 208,570 vehicles from January to August, a year-on-year increase of 22.83 percent.

In November last year, the Zeekr brand announced a series of transactions that would grant it a 51 percent stake in Lynk & Co. On February 14, Zeekr announced the completion of these transactions, with both brands now belonging to Zeekr Group.

On May 7, Geely announced it had submitted a non-binding letter of intent to Zeekr proposing the privatization of the company.

On July 15, Geely and Zeekr formally signed the definitive merger agreement, with the merger expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Zeekr commenced pre-sales for its Zeekr 9X large luxury hybrid SUV (sport utility vehicle) on August 29, the opening day of the 2025 Chengdu auto show, with the official market launch scheduled for late next month.

The Zeekr 9X, the electric vehicle (EV) maker's first hybrid model, starts at RMB 479,900 ($67,280) during pre-sales, positioning it among the highest-priced models from a Chinese domestic automaker.

Zeekr shared its vehicle update plan for the remainder of the year, partly to avoid negative comments caused by sudden model updates as in the past.
