Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) commenced pre-sales for its Zeekr 9X large luxury hybrid SUV (sport utility vehicle) today on the opening day of the 2025 Chengdu auto show, with the official launch scheduled for late next month.
The Zeekr 9X, the electric vehicle (EV) maker's first hybrid model, starts at RMB 479,900 ($67,340) during pre-sales, positioning it among the highest-priced models from a Chinese domestic automaker.
Specifically, the Zeekr 9X offers three variants during pre-sales -- Max, Ultra, and Hyper --priced at RMB 479,900, RMB 499,900, and RMB 569,900 respectively.
Chinese customers paying a RMB 5,000 deposit now will receive a RMB 10,000 discount upon final payment.
As is common practice in China's automotive industry, the Zeekr 9X's official launch price is expected to be slightly lower than the pre-sales price.
Shortly after the Zeekr 9X began pre-sales, Zeekr announced on Weibo that the model received 42,667 pre-orders within the first hour.
The six-seat full-size luxury SUV measures 5,239 mm in length, 2,019 mm in width, and 1,819 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,169 mm.
The Zeekr 9X is powered by a 2.0T engine and utilizes a full-stack 900-volt hybrid high-voltage architecture.
The model is the first built on the SEA-S platform, unveiled by Zeekr in July as the industry's first dedicated luxury hybrid architecture based on an all-electric platform.
The Zeekr 9X's three silicon carbide motors deliver a combined peak output of 1,030 kW (1,381 horsepower), enabling supercar-level acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds.
Its 2.0T engine produces a peak power of 205 kW with thermal efficiency exceeding 46 percent.
The large SUV's battery pack offers 55 kWh and 70 kWh options, delivering a CLTC range of 300 to 380 kilometers.
Both battery packs support charging rates up to 6C, enabling a 20-80 percent charge in about 9 minutes and a 10-80 percent charge in 10.3 minutes.
The Zeekr 9X comes standard with the Zeekr G-Pilot H9 smart driving solution, marking Zeekr's first model supporting level 3 autonomous driving.
The vehicle has dual Nvidia Drive AGX Thor chips, delivering computing power of up to 1,400 TOPS, and is equipped with five LiDAR sensors.
The 2025 Chengdu auto show commenced today and runs through September 7. Zeekr's booth is located at H1103 in Hall 11.
