Stelato, the new brand jointly developed by Huawei and Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), has seen strong market reception for its new S9T station wagon.
Within the first 24 hours, the Stelato S9T received over 20,000 pre-orders, Huawei's HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business announced today.
Yesterday, Peng Lei, Huawei's product head for Stelato, said that the S9T received over 10,000 pre-orders within an hour of opening pre-sales.
Stelato is one of five automotive brands under Huawei HIMA, the other four being Aito from Seres Group, Luxeed from Chery, Maextro from Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), and Shangjie from SAIC.
The brand's only available model is the Stelato S9, which was launched on August 6, 2024, targeting the high-end sedan market.

Like the S9, the S9T offers battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants. Most Huawei-backed models offer both powertrain options.
The S9T BEV is equipped with a 100-kWh Huawei Giant Whale battery, offering a range of up to 801 kilometers.
The S9T EREV is equipped with Huawei's Xuexiao extended-range system, offering a battery range of up to 354 kilometers and a total range of up to 1,305 kilometers when fully charged and fueled.
The vehicle's smart driving system includes a 192-channel LiDAR, three high-precision solid-state LiDARs, and five 4D millimeter-wave radars.
It is one of the first to be equipped with Huawei's ADS 4, a smart driving system released in April this year.
The S9T will be officially launched in September, Stelato said on July 31.
