Xpeng Jul deliveries breakdown: Mona M03 remains strong, P7+ momentum slows

Xpeng Jul deliveries breakdown: Mona M03 remains strong, P7+ momentum slows

As two of Xpeng's (NYSE: XPEV) key models, the Mona M03 electric sedan continued to see strong deliveries last month, while the P7+ sedan saw a decline in momentum.

The Mona M03 delivered 15,758 units in July, marking its 11th consecutive month exceeding 10,000 units, up 11.67 percent from June's 14,111 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

The electric sedan accounted for 42.92 percent of Xpeng's July deliveries of 36,717 units, up from 40.77 percent in June.

In the first seven months of the year, the Mona M03 delivered 102,109 units, accounting for 43.65 percent of Xpeng's total deliveries during the same period.

The Mona M03 was launched on August 27, 2024, and currently offers six variants with a starting price range of RMB 119,800 ($16,680) to RMB 139,800.

As of the end of July, the Mona M03 had accumulated deliveries of 150,718 units.

In addition to the Mona M03, Xpeng currently delivers the P7+, G6 SUV (sport utility vehicle), G7 SUV, G9 SUV, X9 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), and P7 series sedan.

While the Mona M03 maintained strong deliveries, deliveries of the P7+ declined again.

The P7+ delivered 5,614 vehicles in July, contributing 15.29 percent of Xpeng's monthly deliveries and making it the third-highest-selling Xpeng model in July. This delivery volume decreased by 16.21 percent from the 6,700 units delivered in June.

In the first seven months of this year, the P7+ saw month-on-month declines in deliveries for five months.

Xpeng launched the P7+ on November 7, 2024. It debuted the next-generation P7 earlier this month, with the sedan set to go on sale in the third quarter.

The G6 delivered 5,885 units in July, up 22.17 percent year-on-year but down 32.36 percent from June.

The SUV accounted for 16.03 percent of Xpeng's July deliveries, making it the company's second-best-selling model.

In the first seven months of the year, the G6 delivered 43,456 units, up 115.41 percent year-on-year.

Xpeng launched updated versions of its G6 and G9 SUVs on March 13, featuring upgraded configurations and lower prices.

The G7 delivered 5,529 units in July, contributing 15.06 percent of Xpeng's monthly deliveries.

The SUV was launched on July 3, with deliveries beginning on July 7.

The G9 delivered 2,145 units in July, down 29.23 percent year-on-year and down 30.52 percent month-on-month.

In the first seven months of the year, the G9 delivered 18,126 units, up 25.35 percent year-on-year.

The X9 delivered 1,729 units in July, up 18.51 percent year-on-year, but down 6.03 percent from June.

On April 15, Xpeng launched the 2025 X9 and plans to launch the MPV model in Europe in the second half of this year.

In the first seven months of the year, the X9 delivered 12,698 units, down 13.04 percent year-on-year.

Xpeng will launch the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) version of the X9 in the fourth quarter, which has already entered a Chinese regulatory filing catalog last week.

The P7 series delivered 57 vehicles in July, down 95.84 percent year-on-year and down 39.36 percent month-on-month.

The P7 series includes the P7 and P7i. Currently, only the P7i is displayed on Xpeng's website.
