As of August 4, pre-orders for the EZ-60 in China have exceeded 38,000 units since April 23.

Changan Mazda, a joint venture between Changan Automobile and Mazda in China, today saw the first EZ-60 SUVs (sport utility vehicles) roll off the production line at its Nanjing plant.
As the second global model produced at Changan Mazda's new energy vehicle (NEV) export hub, the launch of the EZ-60 marks a key step forward for Mazda's global NEV market strategy, the company said in a statement.
The EZ-60 is a strategic model developed by Mazda for the global market. It was unveiled on the first day of the Shanghai auto show on April 23 and began accepting pre-orders.
The vehicle received 10,060 pre-orders within the first 48 hours and reached 20,000 pre-orders by May 16, according to data previously shared by Changan Mazda.
As of August 4, pre-orders for the EZ-60 have exceeded 38,000 units, the brand announced today.
The Nanjing plant has established a dedicated production line for the vehicle, with nearly RMB 200 million ($27.9 million) invested in production line upgrades alone, Changan Mazda said.
The EZ-60 will be launched in China at the end of September, offering battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants, Changan Mazda said previously.
