Yangwang, the ultra-luxury sub-brand of BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), announced today that it will begin pre-sales of the U8L Dingshi Edition on July 31. A launch event will be held at 2:30 pm Beijing Time on the same day.
The model is a full-size executive luxury SUV (sport utility vehicle) featuring a golden logo crafted from 24K pure gold.
Yangwang debuted the U8L at the 2025 Shanghai auto show on April 23, stating that the model would be launched in the second half of this year.
The U8L measures 5,400 mm in length, 2,049 mm in width, and 1,921 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm.

The U8L boasts the longest body dimensions, longest wheelbase, and largest second-row space among its class, according to Yangwang.
The U8 is Yangwang's first model, launched on September 20, 2023, with a starting price of RMB 1,098,000 ($153,200).
The other two models under this BYD sub-brand are the U9 electric supercar and the U7 sedan.
Yangwang sold 205 units in June, a year-on-year decrease of 50.96 percent, but a month-on-month increase of 47.48 percent, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
