BYD did not specify the number of collaborative charging stations to be built or the timeline for their development.

BYD announced on March 17 the launch of its ultra-fast charger supporting up to 1 MW charging power, claiming they can add 2 kilometers of range to an EV in 1 second or 400 kilometers in 5 minutes.

The company said at the time it planned to build over 4,000 such facilities but did not specify a timeline.

On May 31, BYD announced at the Shenzhen auto show that it had partnered with Xiaoju Charging and LongShine to jointly build 1-MW ultra-fast chargers.
