Geely Galaxy has begun previewing its new A7 hybrid sedan, hinting that its launch may be not far away.
The sub-brand of Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) shared several images of the A7 on Weibo today and hinted at some of the sedan's core specifications.
The Geely Galaxy A7 achieves a fuel consumption of two-liter level per 100 kilometers when running on low battery power, with a combined range of up to 2,100 kilometers when fully fueled and charged, according to posters shared on Weibo.
Last month, the sedan was listed in a regulatory catalog by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revealing its core specifications.
The five-seat sedan measures 4,918 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,845 mm, according to a regulatory filing disclosed on May 23.
The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model is equipped with a 1,499 ml engine with a peak power output of 82 kW.
The model comes with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, with suppliers including CALB and CATL.
The A7 is expected to become the latest member of Geely Galaxy's sedan lineup, marking Geely's latest effort in the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector.
The current Geely Galaxy sedan lineup includes the hybrid Starshine 8 and L6, as well as the all-electric E8.
Geely Auto sold 235,208 vehicles in May, representing a year-on-year increase of 46.40 percent and a month-on-month increase of 0.47 percent, according to the company's announcement on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on June 1.
Its PHEV sales in May totaled 42,981 units, up 76 percent year-on-year; battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales reached 95,040 units, up 178 percent year-on-year.
