- Pre-sales for the Stelato S9 EREV start at RMB 318,000 ($43,900), 20.46 percent lower than the starting price of the BEV variant.
- The Stelato S9, like the Aito M9, is the flagship model of Huawei's HIMA business, but its sales performance is far less impressive than that of the latter.

Stelato, the new brand created by Huawei and Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), has started pre-sales for the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variant of its current only model, the Stelato S9, at a significantly lower price than the battery electric vehicle (BEV) variant.
Pre-sales for the Stelato S9 EREV began today at a Huawei product launch event, with a starting price of RMB 318,000 yuan (43,900 $), which is 81,800 yuan, or 20.46 percent, lower than the starting price of RMB 399,800 yuan for the Stelato S9 BEV.
The EREV variant of the sedan will be officially launched in April, Huawei said.
The Stelato S9 EREV measures 5,160 mm long, 2,005 mm wide and 1,486 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,050 mm. This is wider than the Stelato S9 BEV's 1,987 mm, while the other dimensions are the same.
The Stelato S9 EREV's battery pack is available in 37 kWh and 53.4 kWh options, with a CLTC battery range of up to 365 km.
When fully charged, the Stelato S9 EREV has a combined range of 1,355 kilometers.
The Stelato S9 EREV will be equipped with four LiDARs, and the intelligent driving system will be the Qiankun ADS 3.3, just like the 2025 Aito M9.
Stelato officially launched the Stelato S9 on August 6, 2024, initially offering only two BEV options with starting prices of RMB 399,800 and RMB 449,800, respectively.
The Stelato S9 is the flagship sedan under Huawei's HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business, and together with the Aito M9, they form the dual flagships under the business, Richard Yu, chairman of Huawei's intelligent vehicle solutions business unit, said at the model's launch.
However, the car's initial performance was not as expected, with only about 2,500 firm orders received in the first 24 hours.
On November 26, Stelato added a new BEV variant to the Stelato S9, with a starting price of RMB 429,800.
Last December, 7,494 Stelato S9s were delivered, but only 643 were delivered in January this year, according to data previously released by HIMA.
HIMA did not release sales figures for the Stelato S9 in February.
For comparison, the Aito M9 has delivered more than 170,000 units in total since deliveries began at the end of February 2024, according to the figures mentioned by Yu today.
