The Mona M03 has seen a significant increase in orders since its launch and Xpeng and its supply chain partners are working hard to prepare the model for further production ramp-up.
Xpeng delivered a record number of electric vehicles (EVs) in September, with the M03, the first model in the Mona lineup, providing a significant contribution.
The EV maker delivered 21,352 vehicles in September, up 39.46 percent year-on-year and up 52.12 percent from August, according to data it released today.
The Mona M03 delivered more than 10,000 units in its first full delivery month, the company said, without disclosing a specific figure.
In the third quarter, Xpeng delivered 46,533 vehicles, exceeding the upper end of its guidance range of 41,000 to 45,000 units. That was up 16.31 percent year-on-year and up 54.05 percent from the second quarter.
So far this year, Xpeng has delivered 98,561 vehicles, up 21.02 percent year-on-year.
The company's cumulative deliveries since inception stood at 498,872 vehicles, approaching the 500,000-unit milestone, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Xpeng officially launched the Mona M03 electric sedan on August 27, with a starting price of RMB 119,800 ($16,880), its cheapest at about half the price of the Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model 3.
The company delivered the Mona M03 to its first owners on the first day of the Chengdu auto show on August 30, when it said it received more than 30,000 firm orders for the model in the first 48 hours of its launch.
With a wide range of superior features and competitive pricing, Xpeng Mona M03 has seen a significant increase in orders since its launch, it said today.

Looking ahead, Xpeng expects to launch the P7+, positioned as AI-defined car, in October and will showcase its leading AI technologies and applications as well as its new model line-up at the 2024 Paris auto show from October 14 to 21, it said.
