The Neta S shooting brake BEV is offered in two options with pre-sale starting prices of RMB 166,900 ($23,380) and RMB 219,900 respectively.
Neta Auto, a brand of Chinese electric vehicle (EV) company Hozon Auto, has started the pre-sales of the battery electric vehicle (BEV) variant of the Neta S shooting brake, after starting the pre-sales of the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variant of the model two days ago.
The Neta S shooting brake BEV is offered in two options, the 510 Air and the 640 AWD Max, with pre-sales starting at RMB 166,900 ($23,380) and RMB 219,900 respectively.
Both versions will be built on the regular 400 V platform, and Neta said the BEV variant will be offered in new options based on the 800 V platform.
Customers who pay RMB 99 to reserve the model now will get RMB 1,000 off their purchase price.
The Neta S shooting brake is based on Neta's flagship sedan, the Neta S. It measures 4,980 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,980 mm.
On August 13, the Neta S shooting brake EREV went on pre-sale with a starting price of RMB 175,900 yuan.
The two variants of the Neta S shooting brake BEV, the single-motor version and the dual-motor version, have CLTC battery ranges of 510 km and 640 km respectively.
The single motor version is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a peak power of 200 kW, while the dual-motor version has a front motor with a peak power of 170 kW and a rear motor with a peak power of 200 kW.
Neta did not reveal its 0-100 km/h acceleration time.
Originally released on July 31, 2022, the Neta S is Neta's first effort in the mid- to high-end market, offering EREV and BEV versions.
Speaking at the launch event of the BEV variant of the Neta L on June 28, Hozon CEO Zhang Yong said that the Neta S shooting brake will be available in August and volume deliveries will begin in September.
Neta's current models on sale include the Neta S, Neta GT sports car, Neta L, Neta Aya SUV, and Neta X SUV.
Neta delivered 11,015 vehicles in July, up 9.72 percent year-on-year and up 7.93 percent from June, according to data it announced on August 1.
In the January-July period, Neta delivered 64,785 vehicles, down 10.59 percent year-on-year.
