The Stelato S9 is expected to be priced from RMB 450,000 ($61,990) to RMB 550,000.
Stelato, the new brand jointly created by Huawei and BAIC BluePark, the electric vehicle (EV) unit of Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), will officially launch its first model, the Stelato S9, on August 6, after having the model unveiled three months ago.
Huawei will hold a launch event on August 6 about the Stelato S9 and Huawei's new full-scenario products, and the event will begin at 2:30 pm Beijing Time, the tech giant announced on Weibo today.
The Stelato S9, which had already been unveiled at the 2024 Beijing auto show in late April, is a mid-to-large-size executive sedan.
Earlier this month, Stelato announced that the S9 started being showcased in Huawei's 100 stores in 27 cities across China.
The Stelato S9 measures 5,160 mm in length, 1,987 mm in width and 1,486 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,050 mm, according to a previous regulatory filing.
The model will be available in a single-motor version and a dual-motor version, with Huawei as the motor supplier.
The single-motor version is powered by an electric motor with a maximum power of 227 kW, while the dual-motor version has an additional front motor with a maximum power of 158 kW.
The batteries are available in Li-ion ternary and “Li-ion ternary + lithium iron manganese phosphate” options, both from CATL.
The model has a large 3,460 mm of usable space in the cabin, which Huawei said rivals the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series, and Audi A8L.
It comes with digital mirrors, 21-inch multi-spoke wheels and will be another flagship model backed by Huawei after the Aito M9.
The Stelato S9 starting price is expected to be in the range of RMB 450,000 ($61,990) to RMB 550,000, according to several local media reports.
