Cumulative orders for the Li L6 have surpassed 30,000 units after 16 days on the market, Li Auto announced today on Weibo.

Customers who place an order before 24:00 Beijing Time on May 5 will be entitled to limited time entitlements worth RMB 20,000, the company said.

“There is only one day left for the limited time entitlements, so you are welcome to bring your family into the stores to experience it,” Li Auto said.

Li Auto launched the five-seat SUV Li L6 on April 18, offering two trims, Pro and Max, with starting prices of RMB 249,800 ($34,500) and RMB 279,800, respectively. Li L6 deliveries began on April 24.

The Li L6 is the Li Auto's lowest priced. The company's previous lowest-priced model was the 2024 Li L7, which currently starts at RMB 301,800.

On April 21, Li Auto said the Li L6 received more than 10,000 orders in its first 72 hours of availability.

On April 30, the company said cumulative orders for the Li L6 exceeded 20,000 units.

For a new model, the initial order intake figures are something to watch, as car companies often offer limited-time entitlements to boost order acquisition.

After those entitlements expire, without new entitlements or discounts, the new model's order intake usually flattens out.

In the case of the Li L6, Li Auto is offering a total of RMB 20,000 worth of time-limited benefits to customers who order the model from April 18 to May 5.

This includes a RMB 5,000 discount, an option fund worth RMB 10,000, and a 7-kW AC charging post and installation service worth RMB 5,000.

On April 30, Li Auto said it delivered more than 2,000 units of the Li L6 six days after deliveries began, and that its delivery centers woud deliver vehicles as normal during the Labor Day holiday.

The Labor Day holiday is May 1-5 in China this year. As part of that holiday schedule, May 11 will be an additional business day, albeit a Saturday.

Li Auto delivered 25,787 vehicles in April, up 0.41 percent from a year earlier but down 11.03 percent from March, according to data it released on May 1.

The company had more than 39,900 orders for its entire lineup of models in April, Li Auto said on May 1 in the comments section of one of its videos.
